Civil Self-Help Center

The Civil Self Help Center offers no-cost legal and procedural information and provides assistance with filling out court forms. While the Center does not represent people in court and the services provided do not result in an attorney-client relationship, those who need more extensive legal help will be guided to other resources.

Lawyers in the Library

This program is a partnership between the Sonoma County Public Library, the Sonoma County Law Library, and the Sonoma County Bar Association. It is staffed by volunteer attorneys who offer free legal information and referrals. These lawyer consultations last up to 20 minutes and take place on alternate months at the Sonoma County Law Library and the Sonoma County Library. Sign-ups are first come, first served in person and begin at 4:30 pm (30 minutes before the program begins).
