Planning for the Inevitable
Ethical Obligations and Best Practices in the Planning and Execution of Closing a Law Practice
Many lawyers will face the prospect of closing a law practice due to retirement or disability. A lawyer or staff may be called upon to close a practice where there was no preparation for closing. At this workshop we will discuss the rules and regulations for closing a practice. We will discuss best practices and pitfalls to avoid. This workshop is a must for lawyers but also for support staff who may be tasked
with the administrative duties to close down a legal office.
