Noreen is certified by the California State Bar as a specialist in civil appeals. She has been practicing law in Sonoma County since 1982. She is a 1981 graduate of University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law. As a law student, she externed for the California Court of Appeal for the Third District and clerked for A & L Goodbody, Solicitors, in Dublin, Ireland.
Noreen has decades of experience in civil litigation and appeals and has handled a wide range of complex cases involving real estate, partition, tax law, environmental law (CEQA), Public Resources Code issues, land use permit application and compliance, family law and much more. 
She served in the California State Legislature for a decade and was responsible for numerous pieces of legislation relating to the administration of justice.
Noreen’s law practice is located in Santa Rosa, CA. She is a partner in Evans Kingsbury LLP. She is also Of Counsel with Watts Guerra, LLP, where she represents survivors of the 2017 North Bay wildfires in litigation against PG&E. 
Noreen is admitted to practice before all of the courts of the State of California, the Federal District Court for the Northern District, the Federal District Court for the Eastern District, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, the United States Supreme Court, and the United States Tax Court. She is a member of Consumer Attorneys of California, the Sonoma County Bar Association, the Bar Association of San Francisco, and the California Lawyers Association.

Deirdre is a trial lawyer and an experienced family law practitioner with more than 30 years of trial and negotiation experience. She is a Sonoma County native and a partner of Evans Kingsbury LLP. She attended the University of California at Davis as a Regents’ Scholar. She received her B.A. degree in Psychology summa cum laude in 1978 and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and Phi Kappa Phi. Ms. Kingsbury earned her J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law. She is rated AV Preeminent® by Martindale-Hubble®.
Deirdre’s current practice focuses on litigating and resolving disputes involving divorces and child custody, probate and trust matters, real estate matters, and appeals. Deirdre handled the legal writing for the trial, the appeal, oral argument of the appeal, and the retrial in the case Bonfigli v. Strachan (2011) 192 Cal.App.4th 1302 (elder financial abuse, real estate fraud and power coupled with an interest). Upon retrial, the jury awarded the clients over one million dollars based on fraud and elder financial abuse. The clients were also awarded a substantial amount of attorneys’ fees based on the elder abuse statutes. Deirdre has won cases involving child custody “move away” orders, fraudulent transfer, quiet title/easement, and probate matters.
Deirdre currently serves on the Boards of Directors of the Sonoma County Bar Association and Sonoma County Women in Law and is a past Chair of the Sonoma County Family Law Steering Committee.
